I speak about 'unexpected storms' a lot throughout my shows and Youth Retreats…they are the unforeseen, difficult and often very painful issues that come up and interrupt life's plans.
I have so often looked back over the many journeys I have made along the way of following my dreams to say "I am glad I didn't know the full extent of how hard that was going to be….otherwise I may never have had the courage to start!"
We leave in 5 days to the USA and I could honestly write a book on how many unexpected storms have come up since I started planning this adventure …..from my horse needing eye surgery (thinking he was going to loose his eye) – to visa issues, financial strain of unexpected large bills, relationship pain of leaving people behind, back issues, nearly having to leave a horse behind && logistical nightmares of planning a tour in another country and a move there.
The latest unexpected storm is I have been stuck in New Zealand for the past week after visiting the US Embassy and having them take my passport… homeland security had not given my clearance needed to enter the USA and they said it could take up to 3 months and would not be able to give any updates along the way. There was a very high chance I was going to have to cancel my flights and cancel the first part of my tour.
Praise God it all came in last night and I am now flying to Sydney to join up with my two horses and lovely friends Elenore && Allie who have been working them, packing up for me && are meeting me in Sydney.
I still had to cancel flights and work within Australia but it has not altered the big picture…. We leave for the States Saturday!!
I just want to encourage those who look at what I am doing and understand that what you see posted online is only 5% of my life. …SO much of it is not glamorous- it is incredibly hard work && more sacrifice && pain then most would cope with.
How far you end up going in life is greatly determined by your pain threshold, your ability to never give up and how well you handle yourself when unexpected storms come. … and trust me they will!
The big point is DON'T ever give up! There is always, always an answer and a way through
Thankyou to the girls for stepping up while I havent been able to be there, the supporting prayers from everyone, friends I stayed with in Auckland and most of all for my amazing 3 brothers who are my knights in shining Armour.
I will be kissing the ground when we land in the States!

I’m sorry it has been such nightmare, but it will all be worth it. Its exhausting to have to fight up hill all the time. One day it will be level planes for you all the way. You have more than pay your way.
