For those who don’t know- a number of years ago I dedicated my life to mentoring and helping teenagers from all walks of life who are struggling with anxiety, suicidal issues, fear, depression, bullying, self harming, low self esteem, family issues, friend issues, lack of direction etc.
Just like our horses, every teenager who comes has a different story, may of which are simply beyond heartbreaking.
I don’t advertise the the stories or massive impact the program has had on young girls because its peoples lives we are talking about- but the difference it is making is truly life changing.
Goldrush has blessed me to be able to be on a platform where youth with the common love of horses are drawn to and from there we get to what really matters.
Each year there are over 120 teens who come a live in on our program, many of whom are from disadvantaged families we are able to sponsor.
New Zealand, Australia and the USA have one of the highest suicide rates in the world. We live in some of the most blessed and free countries however there is a war going on which is ravaging our families and youth and the battlefield is the mind.
We cross horse & rider training with learning about business, to finding what your passion in life is, how to heal from past hurt & pain, overcome failure and learning about relationships. We teach & share love, work ethic, social skills and life skills.
My 5 year plan is to move to the USA and tour for 1.5 years with Goldrush giving our shows, motivational talks and running Youth Retreats along the way.
The ULTIMATE goal is to then open up a Youth Ranch in the USA where we I will have a professional team beside me running full time live in programs open to youth from all around the world.
I have just returned to Australia from my visit to the USA. I have spent the past few weeks planning and organizing- trying to find the right path that will allow my life’s dream & mission to become a reality.
I am not going to lie, it is beyond terrifying whats involved from the finances, (SO scary as I am entirely self funded through lessons and selling merchandise) work hours, personal sacrifice, organizing and qualifying.
Although huge unknown challenges are terrifying and stretch us beyond our limits, I am still more afraid of what will happen if I don’t go. And that I believe that is where courage & faith step in.
I am planning on starting my USA tour in October this year….

This is so amazing!! I have struggled with a lot of those things in the past and pray that I can help kids so that they don’t have to feel as alone and confused as I did… your vision is beautiful. Have dreamed of doing something similar someday. If there is anyway I could ever help let me know!
