1 year ago Amber Dewar and I traveled from NZ to Australia to teach for 2 weeks in a little town called Pinjarra WA. Lessons exploded and we were booked from daylight to sundown with over 200 riders in this short time.
Since then more than 850 riders have joined for lessons all over Australia in the past year. Goldrush made the journey over to join me and we have given multiple shows, youth talks, camps, school visits, surprise visits and have had MANY girls join us for our “On Tour Stay”.
I have NO idea where this crazy journey will lead us or how long we will be traveling for. Every week we are in a new town making new memories.
My biggest joy and passion in life is working with girls who have been abused, who are struggling with bullying, self harm, have low self esteem, who need direction or who want to learn about being self employed training in the horse industry . I do not share these stories online for obvious reasons. Each week we have multiple youth who come on board and stay.
My end goal is to fill my home with teenagers- to provide a safe and stable environment where they will be able to succeed in life and be the very best they can be.
People often ask me where home is and where I am going.
“Home is where ever the trailer is- and I go where ever I feel led to go”
I am so blessed to be able to follow my dreams and live my life so freely.

So true Alycia don’t put off until tomorrow! I often think of this and look back to when I reached out to you with Zeus exactly this time last year… it was 3 weeks before you left the country! If I had put if off anymore I may have never meet you! I remember cause the day I picked him up you were flying out! I thank you so much for that… you would have had so much of your own going on with your tour but you helped me…. someone you didn’t even know.
I remember busting into tears at your property because I was so scared of my horse and didn’t know how to fix the fear we both had! 3 weeks with you and Zeus was a different horse.
A year later We are having a blast competing! And we have this amazing partnership and it’s because Alycia doesn’t keep secrets! She wants people to succeed and be safe, she is an instructor who sends people home with the skills they need to keep going. Thanks for everything you did for Zeus and I! I hope your back in christchurch soon we would love a lesson!
